The Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce's 12th Annual Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, in the historic Village of Greenwich, New York.

This annual kick-off to the holiday season, faithfully supported by the community and Greenwich Chamber members since 2013, has become one of the largest events in Washington County and, unofficially, the largest parade of its kind in the country.  It is estimated that 10,000 people attend the parade to view over 70 tractors and displays travel through the heart of the village. We hope to see you this year!

SPONSORS

Every year a portion of proceeds from the Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade provides a scholarship for a graduating senior from Greenwich Central School who will purse a degree in the field of agriculture.

Our sponsors are crucial to making the Tractor Parade happen.  The Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce would like give a heartfelt thank you to the following businesses for their support.

THE PARADE

Check out this short documentary on who is behind it, how it came to be, what goes into creating this wonderful event, and see the parade in action!  This video was created by Mark Solomon in 2016 about the 4th Annual Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade.  From humble beginnings, the event has grown each year, and it is all made possible by hard-working volunteers, the community, attendees, and participants.

Check out our variety of food truck options and "buy local" at the many cafes and restaurants in the village.

PARKING

Key points to help you plan your day:

  • On-street parking along the parade route will end at 4:00pm

  • Streets will be closed to vehicle traffic at 5:30pm

  • Parking is limited, it is suggested to arrive early

  • Do not park on private property or block driveways

The organizers of the Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade and the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department will set up a detour route early on Saturday, November 23rd to bring travelers around, not through, the Village of Greenwich during the parade.  It is hoped the detours will help to get people moving onto their destinations and not waiting in traffic on the main roads during the parade.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early before main road traffic backs up and before road closures at 5:30pm.  Many activities, such as music and food, begin at 2:00pm.

Lighted detour notice signs will be posted at affected roads in advance to give motorists time to make alternate travel plans for the evening of November 23rd from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Parking is limited and attendees may use side street parking and available open lots.  Carpooling is encouraged and patience is requested when leaving the village after the parade has concluded.  Please be courteous to law enforcement, those directing traffic, and respectful of local property owners.

On-street parking will be prohibited at 4:00pm on Main Street from Academy to Washington Street and on Hill Street, Church Street, and at certain corners along the parade route.

The following have offered their parking lots to attendees:

  • Bottskill Baptist Church

    • 26 Church Street

    • donations accepted

  • Saratoga Regional YMCA, Battenkill Branch

    • 184 Main Street (State Route 29)

    • $10 per vehicle
